The Threat of a Global Financial Collapse
Budget/Debt item by Alan Caruba

At present, the amount of the annual Gross Domestic Product, $14 trillion—the value of all the goods and services that generate income—is exceeded by the nation’s debts.

J.Edgar—A Fascinating But Deceptive Work
Book/Movie Review item by Rev. Austin Miles

As compelling as FBI founder and Chief J.Edgar Hoover was portrayed, especially his relationship with his mother, his loyal secretary Helen Gandy played by Naomi Watts, and his partner, Clyde Tolson played effectively by Armie Hammer, the film misrepresented the “G-Man” as a man of honor and a patriot, which might have resulted by the FBI peeking over Eastwood’s shoulder as the film was being prepared and filmed.

Topeka, Kansas, Unified School District 501 Places Sexual Deviancy on Its Curriculum
Society/Culture War item by Paul Ibbetson

What part should schools play in the personal development of our children? Most parents naturally expect teachers and administrative staff to assist their children in learning important skills like reading, writing, and arithmetic, but we now know a child’s development goes far beyond the basics at school. Upon closer inspection, most parents recognize that schools often teach children additional skills, such as how to interact with others, follow rules, think critically, and in many cases, develop career aspirations for what their Mom’s and Dad’s hope will be a bright and happy future. All this instruction is positive and benefits our children. However, there is more still that students will learn.

We Can Trust Us
Constitution/Republic item by Dr. Robert Owens

Listening to the lies of the politicians as presented by the prattle of the biased it is easy to lose hope in a secular sense.  My hope in an eternal sense is founded on the rock of an unshakable faith in Jesus and so it cannot be shaken.  However, in the secular resting, as it must upon the shifting sands of man in America today, hope as a measured commodity is all too often hopeless.  Seeking for hope in current events, a diamond among the discards and a point of light in a sea of darkness, is seeking something positive among the gathering gloom of an empire in eclipse.

Time to Deport Newt Gingrich!
Immigration/Border item by John W. Lillpop

Newt Gingrich is ‘only’ 68 years old and seemingly in good physical health. However, based on his performance at the foreign policy debate on November 22, Newt’s mental acumen is very much in doubt. Specifically, in calling for amnesty for tens of millions of illegal aliens, one must ask, “Is Newt Gingrich too old to remember 1986?”

My Thanksgiving Prayer
American Heritage item by Chuck Baldwin

That first Thanksgiving in the fall of 1621 saw about 50 Mayflower Pilgrims and 100 native Indians come together for a celebration feast consisting of a variety of homegrown vegetables—including corn, squash, beans, barley, and peas—along with wild turkey and venison. The precise date is not known, but it is believed to have taken place in late October or early November. Historians record that the Massachusetts weather was crisp, but not cold—and the fall foliage dazzled America’s newcomers with a cornucopia of color. That first Thanksgiving in the fall of 1621 saw about 50 Mayflower Pilgrims and 100 native Indians come together for a celebration feast consisting of a variety of homegrown vegetables—including corn, squash, beans, barley, and peas—along with wild turkey and venison. Organized Anarchy Leads to One Last Question
Class Warfare item by Dr. Robert Owens

In the topsey turvey world of 21st century America those who live by the kindness of strangers wish to dictate how much kindness they deserve changing the strangers from benefactors to victims.  We have reached a point where our national motto should be “Stand and Deliver” as a runaway government devours everything in sight in an effort to satisfy the growing demands of their pre-programmed supporters.

UN Trapped in Climate Turmoil
ClimateGate item by Dennis T. Avery

The man-made warming activists at the UN are trapped in turmoil over how to deal with the earth’s lack of warming since 1998. A week or so ago, the UN climate panel circulated a draft statement that would have admitted we’re unlikely to have any further earth-warming for the next 30 years “because climate change signals are expected to be relatively small compared to natural climate variability.”

Reasons for EVERYONE in Congress to Repeal ObamaCare
ObamaCare item by Doug Edelman

There are few opportunities for legislation that holds the prospect of gain for EVERYONE who supports it, regardless of party or ideology – but amazingly, the repeal of ObamaCare offers that very opportunity, if our elected officials would but examine the possibilities!!

“Occupy” Movement: Welcome To Liberal Utopia
Progressivism item by Christopher G. Adamo

For all but the most blindly dogmatic, any former “bloom” has long since left the rosy facade of the “Occupy Wall Street” phenomenon. Though the liberal media have been working overtime from the beginning to maintain the fantasy that the protesters embody the concerns and aspirations of Real America, and despite their best efforts to frame any discussion of the movement as a noble endeavor propelled by unfettered idealism, its sheer ugliness is daily becoming more apparent and inescapable.

Super Committee Suicide
National Security item by Alan Caruba

By the weekend, news reports indicated that the congressional Super Committee was closing in on an agreement. The deficit-cutting panel is mandated to trim at least $1.2 trillion in federal spending over the next ten years and, failing an agreement, automatic cuts would begin in 2013, after the national elections.

Obama’s OWS Grows More Violent…Threatens Young Children
Progressivism item by Sher Zieve

For those of you who continue to tell me the Occupy Wall Street radicals aren’t politically connected with one party, I say balderdash.  First, in September ObamaFriend Van Jones told ObamaChannel MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell that there was going to be a progressives’ “October Offensive against Capitalism.”  Then, Obama mentor and persona non grata in virtually every country save ObamaLand (aka the former USA), is funding the OWS largely via his Tides Foundation.  Then, there is also Obama’s American taxpayer-funded and long-time Obama Goons SEIU (Service Employees International Unions) involvement with the OWS mobs and their other supporters, including the Communist Party USA and Obama‘s ACORN.

Hey, GOP, Stop Lacerating Already!
Elections item by John W. Lillpop

Self-mutilation is never a pretty sight, unless it involves a whacked-out liberal offing his or her self, “for the children.” Even then, although the net effect may be overall positive, the individual acts may be unseemly, and not suitable for consumption by family audiences.

I Am Now A Candidate For Montana Lieutenant Governor
Elections item by Chuck Baldwin

On Wednesday, November 16, 2011, Montana Republican gubernatorial candidate Bob Fanning and I held a press conference in downtown Kalispell, Montana, and announced that he and I are running for Montana Governor and Lieutenant Governor in the 2012 Montana elections. Needless to say, I am very honored to have had Bob invite me to join his campaign. In fact, he is the only candidate for governor that I believe in enough to run with.On Wednesday, November 16, 2011, Montana Republican gubernatorial candidate Bob Fanning and I held a press conference in downtown Kalispell, Montana, and announced that he and I are running for Montana Governor and Lieutenant Governor in the 2012 Montana elections. Elimination of Trisomy Patients Smells of Nazi Tactics
Pro-Life item by Kevin Roeten

Most people feel obligated to abort Down Syndrome babies, that haven’t even been born yet. Numerous studies have indicated 90% of these children are aborted. One might notice an echo of 1920’s Germany in America—where eugenics, a movement eradicating Jews and other ‘inferior’ races have surfaced with Obamacare.

Let THEM Eat Poi—For FLOTUS, Its Steak and Arugula Salad!
Elitists item by John W. Lillpop

Poi is a Hawaiian word for the primary Polynesian staple food made from the corm of the taro plant (known in Hawaiian as kalo). Poi is produced by mashing the cooked corm (baked or steamed) until it is a highly viscous fluid.

It’s all about energy, cost, and international competition
Energy item by Marita K. Noon

We are in an economic war—and it is bigger than Republicans and Democrats battling over tax increases and spending cuts. It is global.
