That Republican 2010 Landslide and What It Means
Elections item by James Hall

Sartre Commentary
Conventional wisdom has that the Republican Party will kick butt in the midterm elections. Soon the actual results will be posted. Trusting that electronic machines are accurate is totally another matter. What is certain is that incumbents face an uphill battle to retain their privileges. Will it make a meaningful difference if the GOP takes control of the House of Representatives and even the Senate? How many times have you heard this is the most important election ever?

This isn’t a Recession
Welfare State item by Dr. Robert Owens

Perhaps the following examples are emblematic of our present precarious situation.  The Progressive Congressional leadership apparently believes Steven Colbert is not only what they perceive as a conservative commentator they also believe his outrageous satirical views are worthy of a Congressional hearing.  Not to be outdone by the pedantic puffery of his lockstep legislative sidekicks, our President, like millions of his devotees, apparently perceives John Daily as a serious news broadcaster.  Together these two politically motivated comedians are what the left believes constitutes an effective counter-weight to Glenn Beck and his chalkboards.

Goodbye Global Warming, Hello Biodiversity
GreeenIsm item by Alan Caruba

After three decades of trying to push the global warming scam to a point where billions could be made selling and trading bogus “carbon credits”, the global schemers have abandoned it in the wake of 2009 revelations that a handful of rogue climate scientists were literally inventing the data to support it.

The Tsunami Blasts Obama/Democrats
Elections item by John LeBoutillier

The Final Prediction: Tuesday will be an historic Election Day as the Republican Party – fueled by the Tea Party movement – will win back over 50 seats in the House and up to 8 seats in the US Senate.

The Tax Man Cometh – And Its Our Own Fault
Taxes item by Thomas D. Segel

There is a darkly humorous one-liner going around that says it all…”Taxpayers should vote Democratic, just like chickens should vote for Colonel Sanders (KFC) “.  In either case the voter is sealing his or her own fate.  Only days remain for you and I to change what is looming in our future.  If we don’t put a mechanism in place to change the direction of our nation everyone can plan on living in a bleaker country.

National Public Radio and the Skinny Fat Man
Progressivism item by Paul Ibbetson

I once knew a guy who was about 50 pounds overweight. Any time a friend or family member would address him on the issue of cutting out the sweets, he would get indignant and quickly inform inquiring souls that he was completely fit in all areas except his midriff, which he would address in his own good time. We might surmise that from this gentleman’s thinking he thought his body was nothing short of a series of physical quadrants of which he had worked to address all but a final set of coordinates: his stomach. More than likely, the man was just fat and did not like being told so.

Political Zingers For Election Day - VOTE CAREFULLY!
Elections item by Rev. Austin Miles

Is Christine O’Donnell REALLY dumb as Dems trumpet?  Did Meg Whitman knowingly hire and keep an illegal on her payroll? And of special interest to residents of the California Bay Area, in particular, Contra Costa County—what are the newspapers hiding?

Politics 2010 in Black and White
Elections item by Alan Caruba

In 2008, Barack Obama would not have been elected to the presidency if white voters had not reached a point since the days of the 1960s Civil Rights movement to think a black man could and should have a shot at the job.

Lessons In Apologetics #5:  Deism
Religion item by Frederick Meekins

The tests or methodologies of epistemology are just the first step into the realm of Apologetics.  These, in turn are applied to the assorted worldviews.

The Democrats’ Final Recourse: Massive Vote Fraud
Elections item by Selwyn Duke

The reports are rolling in from all over the country.  A Craven County, NC resident attempts to vote a straight Republican ticket but his choices come up straight Democrat four times, despite receiving assistance from poll workers.  In NC’s Lenoir County, registered Democrat Ervin Norville also tries to vote straight Republican but finds that his ballot has the names of several Democrat candidates selected.  Boulder City, NV resident Joyce Ferrara says that when she and several others went to vote for Sharon Angle, they found that Senator Harry Reid’s name was already checked off. In Dallas County, TX’ congressional district 30, Democrat Eddie Bernice Johnson’s name was the only one on the ballot in a few locations (no, she isn’t running unopposed).  And some states have been late in mailing out military absentee ballots, whose recipients, interestingly, are known for their Republican leanings.

This Election Cycle Is About…Revolution
Elections item by Frank Salvato

The midterm elections coming up this November 2nd are perhaps the most important election since the US Civil War. Where the 1864 election came in the midst of a war that tore families apart, saw brothers fighting brothers and the fate of the Union and the issue of slavery hanging in the balance, among other pressing questions (slavery was not the only catalyst for the US Civil War), the 2010 midterm elections are just as critical as again we see the very well-being of our country hanging in the balance.

Now That You Mentioned It,  President Obama
ObamaNation item by Barbara Anderson

Under duress, President Obama said “I can’t spend all of my time with my birth certificate plastered on my forehand.” He brought up the subject. Let us examine it.

‘What’s more important: Liberty or the entity that protects it?’
Freedom and Liberty item by Chuck Baldwin

Let me ask readers a question. What’s more important: freedom and its undergirding principles, or the entity meant to protect it? A word of caution: be careful how you answer that question, because the way you answer marks your understanding (or lack thereof) of both freedom and the purpose of government.

The Great Democrat Pre-Election Charade
Demercrats item by Christopher G. Adamo

Perhaps the best indicators of what is at stake for America in the upcoming elections can be found “between the lines” of Democrat rhetoric in the final days before America votes. Clearly, the American left is panicking, as evidenced by its increasingly hysterical accusations, its ramped up efforts at vote fraud, and its reversion to the lowest and most revolting efforts at manipulating its base. A political movement that is capable of descending to such tactics against those it claims to be its own obviously holds them in even lower regard than its opposition.

Adrift on an Ocean of Lies
Politics item by Alan Caruba

“The men the American public admires most extravagantly are the daring liars; the men they detest most violently are those who try to tell them the truth.”
—H.L. Mencken (1880-1956)

Terrorist Ayers Endorses Stewart/Colbert Rallies
Communism item by Cliff Kincaid

When comics Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert announced their rallies on the national mall scheduled for this Saturday, they may not have expected—or wanted—an endorsement from Weather Underground terrorist Bill Ayers. But Ayers told the Ford Motor Company-sponsored Green Festival in Washington, D.C. last Saturday that the event will be a needed respite from the “Alice in Wonderland” world of military domination of the planet and wars waged by the U.S. “empire.”

Democrat Election Fraud Openly Running Rampant
Elections item by Sher Zieve

Arizona and Colorado are reporting massive voter fraud perpetrated by the Marxist groups Mi Familia Vota and One Vote Arizona. Arizona State Senator Russell Pearce writes: “I also understand that these 2 groups have signed up 20,000 states wide and they have requested that 45,000 be put on the permanent early ballot. If 65% of these last minute registration forms in Yuma are invalid, which may be more as they are still checking the rest, then what is the percentages of invalid in Maricopa, Pima and other counties?”
