Amnesty: $6.3 Trillion
Immigration/Border item by Barbara Anderson - May 12, 2013

The real cost could be far more…

The gang of eight, whose leader is Senator Marco Rubio, is ready to issue its challenge to the American people.  It does not have a price (money) connected to it.

The cost is from Robert Rector, the Heritage Foundation, a whopping $6.3 TRILLION. That’s $6.3 TRILLION, not Billion.  We have to take his estimate, because the gang of eight has never given a cost.  In fact, his estimate may be low.

The price of “cost to citizenship” is in the TRILLIONS.  We don’t hear from the gang of eight to tell us this.  In fact, there is little from the gang on cost.  But, there are those who would tell you that it was “politicized, exaggerated, and flawed”.  Until more estimates are forthcoming, we are left to the estimate, $6.3 TRILLION.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the AFL-CIO have ironed out their differences.

D.A. King weighs in:

“Who has been negotiating the terms of   the differences - including E-Verify - necessary to slide another legalization swindle past the American people?  One of the ‘stake holders’ is the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.  The same people who
used their enormous lobbying power to stop E-Verify from being mandatory at its inception.  The same Chamber of Commerce that sued multiple times in federal court to stop the requirement that E-Verify be mandatory on federal contracts.  The same Chamber of Commerce that went all the way to the Supreme Court to stop the E-Verify mandate in Arizona”.

Apparently, two of the most powerful entities are strongly manipulating their will in Congress.  They are the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the AFL-CIO.

Thomas J. Donohue is president of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.  Perhaps at one time, the Chamber was looking out for you, but this is not the Chamber of old.  He is the sixth highest paid lobbyist in the country.  He’s been known to remark ‘Show me the money’.

The AFL-CIO has deep pockets, also, and is intent on making money from illegal aliens.

“The reason that we have immigration laws is because they are there to protect the interests of the American people,” said Ira Mehlman, communications director of the group Federation for American Immigration Reform.

“What the bishops are saying, essentially, is that other people are going to have to sacrifice their jobs, their children’s educational opportunities because the Catholic Church is placing the interests of illegal immigrants ahead of those who are legitimately here in the United States.”

From Daneen G. Peterson, Ph.D.

“Well, there it is…..it doesn’t matter that our immigration laws say that ‘aiding and abetting’ the illegal alien is a crime, the Catholic Church is saying it doesn’t need to follow those laws.  The Catholic Church also doesn’t care about the rights of the honest, hard-working American citizens who dutifully honor the ‘rule of law’ which is the foundation of this country, while the Catholic Church does not!”

“What about the dignity of ordinary American citizens to be free from the massive illegal alien incursion that is crushing our country.  Balkanizing our neighborhoods, overwhelming and degrading our schools, medical facilities, and most importantly, our quality of life?  Clearly, the Catholic Church has declared itself ABOVE and BEYOND the LAW!

How many benefits will the illegals get?  Once the illegal aliens receive green cards, they will be able to qualify for a vast array of benefits such as Social Security, welfare, Medicaid, Medicare and even subsidized Obamacare.  The cost?  TRILLIONS, not Billions.

What do the unemployed millions of foreign workers get?  They will have to get in line and compete with the illegals aliens.  And, do the benefits compare with those in the above mentioned column?  No, they do not.
