Whatever they don't steal, they destroy. They leave a trail
of debris wherever they've been. And through all the mess, they
continually, almost pathologically, lie and lie - and all the while
calling attention to themselves.
No, it's not the neighbors'
disturbed kids. It's not the latest hip-hop group topping the
charts. It's not even the UN delegation from Trashcanistan,
expelled from yet another hotel.
No, it's the kleptocrats exiled
from that administration headed by the Ex-Perpetrator, Bill Clinton.
Whether it's Sandy Berger using classified notes as codpiece material;
Jamie Gorelick indignantly berating the standing Attorney General
for policies that both knew originated with herself; whether it's
the latest exiled political appointee with a "whistleblower" book
telling a far-different tale than had he told at public inquests scant
months ago...
...it all returns to The Effort. The Campaign.
The Creation Of A Legacy. The replacement of Bill Clinton, impeached
President and unindicted perjurer and vandal, with Bill Clinton, A
Man Of Vision And Patron Of Peace.
The problem, for the Clinton
lackeys assigned this unappetizing duty, is that the facts as recorded
don't support the ordained conclusion.
This is a large part of
the reason for the weird accusations and soundbytes of the post-September
11 era. The wild accusations that Bush Knew! while all
the while castigating him for acting on what EVERYONE, including Clinton,
knew about Iraq.
This is the reason behind Dick Clarke's here-is-the-real-Truth-and-disregard-everything-I've-said-before
novel. It's the reason for Jamie Gorelick's presence on the
9-11 Commission, in spite of her obvious involvement as a player...and
the reason for her concealment of her role.
And, these crude
efforts falling flat, the Clinton camp has resorted to even clumsier
methods: Samuel "Sandy" Berger stuffing his drawers with high-level
classified notes and documents of interest to the 9-11 Commission...and
to serious historians of the buildup of events.
He called it
a "mistake." Quite the understatement, that. His defenders
said "sloppy" - but it wasn't clear whether they were referring to
his judgment, his attempt at revising history...or to the notes themselves
once removed from their fetid location.
George Neumayr of The
American Spectator makes a strong case for the similarity of missing
smegma-encrusted documents, to other skullduggery typical and constant
of the Clinton years. He writes:
"During the Clinton years,
you could always count on a report about something missing, from laptops
White House interns lifted to computers and documents untraceable
at vital agencies. After the State Department lost a computer once,
the Clinton administration explained it away merely as an official
forgetting to close a door to a "secure" conference room. When White
House officials walked off with hundreds of thousands of dollars of
presidential souvenirs from Air Force One at the end of Clinton's
term, that was explained away as precedent. When a spy placed an eavesdropping
device in the State Department, that too was an accidental oversight.
Apparently he just walked through the front door. The FBI reported
after the incident that its officials had seen a Russian spy loitering
near the Foggy Bottom entrance."
So you see, in the world of
Clinton, there's nothing uncommon or askance about a man jamming top-secret
original documents into his boxers - just as there's nothing uncommon
about bodies popping up in one's trail or women appearing out of nowhere
claiming rape or injury.
What's unusual about this, is that
it's a continuation of the steady-stream of "mistakes" - long after
the "mistakers" are out of official power. Even the Credit Mobilier
and Teapot Dome scandals ended with the departures of Grant and Harding.
The Clinton-induced turmoil seems to have a life almost of its own.
But
it can be stopped. By stopping one person.
This trail of
mischief from a no-longer-relevant administration will stop only when
the self-centered butthead who's at the heart of it is stopped. Clinton has culpability for crime on many levels - from the juvenile
destruction in the Executive Offices; to the accepting of illegal
campaign money from the Chinese government; to perjury before a grand
jury, and a hundred other behaviors.
He needs to be brought up
on charges. It matters not which one; it doesn't even matter
if he's convicted. He needs to get it through his self-centered
awareness that America and Americans of mainstream values...have hadit.
